THREE men have been sentenced for domestic abuse offences in Barnsley.

Kyle Luke Selby, 31, formerly of Hollycroft Avenue in Royston, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on May 7.

Selby was sentenced to 19 months in prison after being convicted of breaching a non-molestation order and criminal damage.

He was also handed a five-year restraining order.

Alan Guthrie, 38, formerly of Willman Road, Lundwood, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on May 11.

He was convicted of harassment after being charged by Barnsley’s domestic abuse team two days earlier.

Guthrie was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison and ordered to pay a victim surcharge after the court was told how he spent a week searching for, and threatening another man with violence - including threats that involved a shotgun.

Andrew Bond, 49, of Beech Close, Brierley, was sentenced to six weeks in prison after being convicted of domestic assault by beating at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on May 11.
