THREE people were taken to hospital following a car accident on Sunday night.
Emergency services were called to the A61 Park Road just before 11pm following reports that there had been a collision between two cars.
One vehicle was on fire when emergency services arrived. The road was blocked for a number of hours while officers, fire and ambulance worked at the scene.
Three people were taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries.
An investigation is currently underway to determine what happened.
