PARENTS of three and four-year-olds have until the end of the month to apply for additional free childcare for the September term.
Mums and dads are being urged to check their eligibility, as working families may be missing out on 15 hours of free childcare per week, on top of the existing 15 hours entitlement three and four-year-olds already receive.
Coun Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesman, said: “Childcare costs can be expensive. This scheme is helping many families reduce their childcare costs and supporting many families to gain employment.
“If you don’t get the code before Thursday, August 31 you will miss out on costs to pay a full term’s funding.”
