AN RAF flight sergeant from Barnsley has been presented with a top award for his dedication to Royal Air Force life Ð using his free time to train potential personnel of the future as well as helping to keep RAF history alive.
Rich White, who serves with the Operational Training Centre, based at RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire, is overwhelmed to be this year’s recipient of the Wing Commander Bye Sword.
It is presented each year to the junior officer or senior non-commissioned officer at RAF Leeming who has made the most significant contribution to life on station and/or the local community.
