CANNON Hall Farm will feature on a TV show which will air next week.

The Channel 5 show Springtime on the Farm follows several farms as they enter Spring and the lambing season.

This year, Cannon Hall Farm has been chosen to be the host farm, with film crews documenting the day-to-day goings on.

Farmer Robert Nicholson said: “It makes us feel really proud to host something like this, a national TV programme that celebrates everything about British farming.

“I really hope that people are going to enjoy it, and appreciate the tremendous efforts of farmers in general who work so hard.

“It’s nice that they are getting the recognition they deserve.”

Adam Henson, one of the presenters on the show, said: “I hope that it’ll bring a really good awareness of the highs and lows and the

challenges at the busiest time of year in the farming calendar for livestock farms.”

Lindsey Chapman, also a presenter, said: “There’s just some brilliant human stories in the show.

“We’ve got fantastic animals which kids love to see, but also the real day-to-day living of what it’s like to be a farmer and the amount of love and passion that goes into that.

“There’s some really enjoyable stuff on this farm though, so there’s some cute stuff, some pretty gritty and hardcore stuff, and there’s also quite a lot of fun.”

Springtime on the Farm will air every weekday next week on Channel 5 at 8pm.
