VANDALS have attacked new play equipment worth £14,000 which was recently installed in Pilley Pocket Park.
They poured industrial strength adhesive all over a slide and swings at the weekend.
Tankersley parish council clerk Kerry Blantern said: "The police are investigating and the site has been cleared by Barnsley Council workmen.
"Unfortunately the adhesive was so strong that thinners wouldn't work and it had to be chiselled off."
