VANDALS have been plaguing community space in Silkstone.

A car was driven on to the recreation ground near the MUGA, creating deep gouges in the grass.

Parish council chairman Meryl Liddell says the pavilion was also vandalised.

And she warns residents that dog-fouling continues to be a problem.

“One thing about the bad weather was that it put off some of the worst offenders,” she said.

Coun Liddell is urging people to watch out for events around the parish aimed at keeping Silkstone and Silkstone Common looking smart.
