BARBARA Dickson is headlining this weekend’s Wath Festival.

The folk superstar is topping the bill for a weekend of gigs at Montgomery Hall as part of the music festival, which draws attendees from around the world.

Tomorrow (Friday) Kris Drever, The Hut People and Ray Hearne will take to the stage from 8-11.30pm.

On Saturday it is critically acclaimed duo O’Hooley and Tidow, Sheelanagig, Anthony John Clarke, Hannah Sanders and Ben Savage, Toby Burton, Kit Hawes and Aaron Catlow from 6-11.30pm.

On Sunday afternoon from 1-4pm Lucy Ward, the Mather Robinson Band and the young performers competition will occupy the stage.

And Barbara takes to the stage on Sunday evening, accompanied by her pianist Nick Holland from 8-11.30pm. She is supported by Martin Harley, Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby.

Outside of the musical performances, there is a host of community activities including the traditional reading of Thomas Tuke’s will and the throwing of bread from the church tower.

On Monday afternoon there is a Ceilidh from 1-4.30pm.
