WELLWISHERS have pledged almost £1,600 to a Barnsley couple who launched an appeal to fund IVF treatment so they can have a baby.
The Chronicle featured the appeal by Laura and Chris Pye last week and donations – some of them anonymous – have flooded into their 'Making Baby Pye' page on the internet.
And as well as the online donations, Lakis Fish Bar has agreed to open next Sunday and give all the day's profits to the couple, of Barnsley Road, Cudworth.
