Harry White was playing non-league football and working at a golf club in September but he only had to wait a month until his dream was realised.

The 20-year-old striker made his professional debut on Tuesday night against Bradford City.

White, a former Coventry City academy player, says he will always remember the night at Valley Parade.

"It was an unbelievable feeling and I enjoyed the fans clapping me on," White told the Chronicle.

"It hasn't sunk in that I've even signed for Barnsley, let alone made my debut. "I made sure that I kept hold of the matchday shirt and I've got all the players to sign it. I'll be getting it framed.

"Making your debut is a special thing."
