A SONG about Stairfoot roundabout made him famous and now Dave Cherry has rewritten his classic in frustration at changes to Birdwell roundabout.
Dave, 71, of Saxon Crescent, Worsbrough Bridge, says the new layout at Birdwell is ‘worse than Stairfoot’ and has altered the lyrics of his song from 2004 - which went on to make thousands for Barnsley Hospice through CD sales, and an accompanying music video sold on DVD.
