Kadeem Harris says he would definitely consider a return to Barnsley in January.

The exciting winger, 22, has impressed during his spell on loan from Cardiff City. His loan be extended after it expires in November but the Reds could go back in for him when the window re-opens in January.

Asked whether he'd be interested in returning, Harris said: "Definitely. I'm enjoying it here. There's not one thing I could complain about.  When you're enjoying your football, that's when you perform best. If I do come back here, hopefully I'll just pick up where I left off. "I think it can only get better with where I think they are going to end up in the league which is right up there.

"I don't have anything negative to say. We've got a great bunch of lads, manager and coaching staff. I've just got positives to say about Barnsley. With the youth that we have, there is a lot of hunger and determination.  I think everybody in the squad wants to do well for themselves and the team. That's the main factor and there's close friendships and unity."

Harris tormented full-back James Horsfield against Doncaster Rovers but failed to get on the scoresheet. He says he is working on his end product in every training session. He added: "I haven't got any goals yet but I think as soon as I do get one, they'll rain in. I'm doing a lot of practising after training on the end product because I can't wait to get that first goal. Hopefully it comes soon."

Head coach Lee Johnson raved about Harris' performance against Rovers but says that, if he was the finished article, then he would not have been attainable. He said: "Kadeem has been fantastic but we need to start seeing something to show for it and quickly. He was excellent on Saturday, very bright and very sharp. He probably should have come away from the game with one assist and two goals.

"The end product is an area of his game he has to improve but, in fairness, that's probably why we've got him because, if that was top notch, then he would be in the Premier League. I'd love to take him back in the squad (in January). I think he's got a bright future. We're just grateful to Cardiff for letting us have him at the moment. He's very close to being top drawer and, if he just steps over that line, then Cardiff – or whoever – have got a very good player."
