Sam Winnall is being challenged by Lee Johnson to hit 20 goals this season.

Winnall's brace on Monday took him to nine for the season but the 24-year-old is striving to get more.

Winnall said: "I'm not satisfied with it because I always want to be better.

"I don't ever want to feel secure or that I've done enough. I'm not satisfied with nine, I want more and that's what I'll be striving for in the new year.

"I don't set targets. I go into every game thinking I will score and I should score."

Head coach Lee Johnson praised Winnall's display against Blackpool and now is challenging him to hit 20.

"I think it's a real genuine target for him," said Johnson.

"He scores all types of goals. He's brave aerially and clinical. He could have had a couple more on Monday. He's getting chances and that's the important thing for strikers.

"If he keeps getting four chances a game he's certainly going to hit that 20 mark.

"I thought he was really good against Blackpool. His form has really shot up in the last five or six games.

"I'm delighted for him really to get two goals because he likes his goals and I think he feels he's not doing enough if he's not scoring. He organises the team too which is invaluable really."
