A WINTER-themed set of photos from a local photography society is the latest collection to go on display at a Darfield museum.

The Maurice Dobson Museum will be showing a collection of 22 different prints, themed around Christmas and the winter season and taken by members of the Barnsley Photographic Society, in the museum's Cafe Gallery.

Phil Edwards, photographic society member, said: "They had a spare slot come up and asked us if we would like to put some of our work up. The society has been in existence 90 years this year, and we thought this might be a good way to draw some new members."

The collection is available to view until December 22 on Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays. For more information on the Photographic Society visit www.barnsleyphotographicsociety.org.uk.
