A GOOD Samaritan has been credited with saving the life of a stranger after she talked her down from a motorway bridge.

Kate Robinson, 29, had been driving on the roundabout at junction 36 when she spotted a car with its hazard warning lights on and then saw a young woman standing on the ledge on the wrong side of the railings.

When music teacher Kate pulled over, she discovered an off-duty police officer had already stopped to help the woman - but she wasn’t responding to him.

Kate, who was out ‘Pokemon hunting’ with her brother for fun, said: “As we were driving over the motorway bridge at the roundabout I noticed a car pulled up at the side of the road with its hazards on. I thought it was someone who had broken down. Then I saw a woman on the bridge.”
