A WOMBWELL Olympian and her partner are taking on a Olympic-sized charity challenge in a bid to 'win their wedding'.

Angela Thorpe, 42 and partner Brian Pilkington, 44 are holding bike and race nights, a cycling challenge and even abseiling in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the Hallam FM Cash For Kids charity.

Angela, a one-time Olympic world record holder for the 100m hurdle, is now a crew manager at Dearne Valley fire station. She and partner Brian take on five other South Yorkshire couples to raise the most money and win their wedding with Hallam FM.

Angela said: "The main thing on the day when they announce the winner is that, win or lose, we will have raised money for a fantastic cause."

The couple find out if they have raised the most on February 23.
