WRESTLING fans the world over are mourning the death of British wrestling legend Jack Land, known by the nickname 'German'.  

Jack, 85, of Birch Road, Kendray, partnered Brian Glover and had a glittering 40-year international wrestling career starting in the late 1950s. 

Under his alias Karl Von Kramer he was widely acknowledged as one of the finest bad guys to grace the wrestling circuit. He didn't retire from the business until 2006.

He leaves wife Betty, brothers Peter, Alan and Fred, sisters Hilda and Winni, children John, Betty and Karl, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  His funeral is yet to be arranged.
