A CHILDREN’S play area in Thurnscoe was damaged by an arson attack at the weekend.
The incident on Saturday night, at the playground off Welfare Road, saw cushioned matting set alight by yobs.
A crew from Dearne station attended and spent about 30 minutes at the scene.
