A YOUNG designer has been chosen as the one to watch by a top fashion magazine.
Graduate designer Courtney Simon, 22, from New Street, Hemingfield, was selected as one of nine designers to look out for by Dazed magazine after her striking designs.
Inspired by her father’s Granadian heritage and created for her final project at the University of Northumbria, her collection was used in promotional materials for next month’s graduate fashion week, in London, where they caught the discerning eye of staff at the fashion mag.
Courtney said: “It was quite a shock finding out I had been chosen.”
