JORDAN Harpin loved her uncle Shaun very much and she's raised over £250 by completing the Race For Life.

Shaun died in February from lung cancer and the 11-year-old decided to go on the internet to find out more abut the disease and what was being done to fight it.

The Doncaster Road primary school pupil ended up looking at the website for Cancer Research UK's race for life and decided she was going to enter - in memory of her uncle.

She completed the race on Sunday.

Her proud mum Teresa said: "Jordan was very close to her uncle, he died just 18mths after being diagnosed with cancer and she said she just wanted to do something."
