Marathon man Roger Cousins hopes to break the £25,000 charity fundraising barrier when he tackles his tenth consecutive London Marathon next month.
The 61-year-old school caretaker has pounded the pavements for the past decade in order to help a variety of good causes.
His current fundraising total stands at more than £23,000 and he is confident of adding to it when he completes this year's 26 mile race on April 21.
"You can't explain the buzz of the marathon," said Roger, of High Street, Penistone. "Because you've got your name on your T-shirt, they're shouting your name like they know you. It's an unbelievable atmosphere."
Roger will run the marathon dressed in all pink, including wig and tutu, for Breast Cancer Care, following the death of his wife's cousin from the illness last June.
He said the race puts him through the pain barrier but his suffering is it insignificant in comparison to those he is helping.
And, despite reaching a landmark tenth race, Roger, who works at St John's Primary School, Penistone, said he has no plans to stop running any time soon.
"I run all year around and I look forward to the marathon every year," he added.
"I've no intention of calling it a day while I feel like I do at the moment."
Roger will be collecting for his marathon at Penistone Tesco today, at Morrisons in Barnsley tomorrow and in the Alhambra, Barnsley on March 16.
