Move over Mary Berry, the new name in the world of cakes is Liam Hirst.

Liam, 27, discovered his calling after he suffered a knee injury while working as an electrician.

"I started baking with my children as something to do while I was off work. Then I decided to ice some and enjoyed it and asked on Facebook if anyone wanted a cake making and it escalated from there," said Liam, of Windsor Avenue, Kexborough

Now he creates anything from crocodiles to an authentic-looking plate of chicken curry, complete with rice and naan bread.

His firm is Liam's Treasured Treats and wife Kathryn said Liam tries to make his creations look at real as possible.

"With the work he puts in and the amazing results, it really is a shame that a lot of these are cut up and eaten."
