HE has gone from Zeus the house destroyer, to Buddy the best friend.
Whippet Zeus famously blew up a house on Frederick Street, Goldthorpe in January after chewing a deodorant can, prompting it to explode when the central heating came on.
After a stint in the kennels Zeus has now been rehomed.
New owner Kay Nordon, 38, of Johnsons Gardens, Manvers, who works at Churchfield Primary in Cudworth, said: "We've changed his name to Buddy to protect his identity.
"I could not understand why he had been in kennels because he's such a nice dog. We didn't know his history until I did a random google search and we discovered that we had a terrorist in the family."
Original owner Matthew Heckler, 22, was selling the dog anyway before the explosion blew out his front window and set his sofa on fire.
