Jo Laumann has left Barnsley to join Belgian club Standard Liege as under 23s coach.

The Moroccan-born German coach joined the Reds with Valerien Ismael in 2020 but did not leave with the Frenchman for West Brom at the end of that season.

Instead he was a coach under Markus Schopp then, after the Austrian was sacked, he was caretaker for three games last autumn. He oversaw a home win over Derby County then losses at home to Hull City and away at Fulham.

Laumann then worked under Poya Asbaghi until the end of the season.

He has not returned to Oakwell this summer, with new boss Michael Duff bringing in Martin Paterson while Martin Devaney has been promoted to the first team.
