Callum Brittain looks to be on his way out of Barnsley FC and is closing in on a move to Championship club Blackburn Rovers.

The Chronicle understands that the deal is not yet finalised but is expected to happen.

According to reports elsewhere, Blackburn are set to pay more than £1million for the 24-year-old.

Brittain joined from MK Dons in 2020 and impressed in his first season and the Reds reached the Championship play-offs.

He endured a much more difficult campaign, as did many of his colleagues, as Barnsley were relegated last season.

The move would be the latest in a series of sales with Luton having bought strikers Carlton Morris and Cauley Woodrow, while Michal Helik and Callum Styles are also expected to leave.
