A round-up of Barnsley FC-related stories from this week.

REDS TO WEAR HOSPICE SHIRTS UNTIL NEW YEAR

Barnsley Hospice will sponsor Barnsley FC’s shirts until the new year.

They take over from local firm Rapid Response, with the Reds having several different sponsors this season in blocks of games rather than one for the whole campaign.

The Reds wore the hospice logo for the first time in their FA Cup win at Bolton on Saturday. The hospice is not paying for the deal.

Supporters can have the hospice logo printed on their shirts, with all proceeds going to the charity.

TROPHY DRAW ON FRIDAY

Barnsley are due to find out their opponents in the EFL Trophy first knock-out round on Friday.

The draw is set to be made on Sky Sports following coverage of the Championship match between Birmingham City and Sunderland.

The Reds finished second in their group after recovering from a 3-0 home loss to Lincoln City with wins over Newcastle United under 21s and Doncaster Rovers.

They will face one of the winners of the other groups in the northern section.

The Reds are due to play away but, if they draw one of the under 21s sides, the venue could be switched.

The games are scheduled for the week commencing November 21.

U21S HIT WIGAN FOR SIX

It was a second successive win for Tom Harban’s side, who now visit Burnley on Monday.

Lancaster has joined Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. The defender started in the 1-0 loss at Chester on Saturday then a 2-1 loss at home to Peterborough Sports on Monday.

Midfielder Hartley joined Joe Ackroyd in being on loan to Guiseley. They lost 3-1 at home to Warrington in the Northern Premier League on Saturday.
