BARNSLEY are due to make a ‘late call’ on Jordan Williams ahead of tomorrow's game with Peterborough United.

The right wing-back missed the cup win over Crewe on Saturday after suffering cramp in his hamstring, which has been injured before.

Head coach Michael Duff told the Chronicle: “With his history, we have to protect him.

“He’s a good player but his biggest challenge at the minute is staying on the pitch . We’re working hard to make sure that happens.”

Matty Wolfe could return to training next week.

The midfielder has been out since August with an ankle problem.

Duff said: “Wolfie is back on the grass, doing quite a bit so we are hoping he will be with us in training probably the early part of next week. He’s a long way from being match fit but it’s a positive to have another body in the group.”

Jordan Helliwell has had a setback and Duff said he will be ‘another five or six weeks’.

Conor McCarthy is out for the season while Will Hondermarck, Slobodan Tedic and Luke Thomas are out until the New Year.
