Barnsley have signed midfielder Jon Russell from Huddersfield Town.
The 22-year-old joins for an undisclosed fee on a two and a half year deal.
Russell came through the Chelsea academy and spent the 2020/21 season on loan to League One Accrington Stanley.
He then moved to Huddersfield and has played 24 Championship games, as well as last year’s play-off final.
He has played seven games this season but none since October.
