BARNSLEY will host Port Vale on the opening day of the League One season.
The fixtures, which were announced this morning, also show the Reds will take on Bristol Rovers (A), Peterborough (H), Oxford (H) and Wigan (A) in August.
They’ll take on Port Vale again on Boxing Day away from Oakwell and host Wigan on New Year’s Day.
The Reds will end their campaign at home to Northampton on April 27.
