Worsbrough Bridge won 1-0 at Dronfield Town in Division One, thanks to an own goal just after half-time.

It was a first win under new manager Lee Morris and ended an 11-game winless run.

Bridge are now 16th with 16 points from 18 games, 14 clear of the relegation zone and 13 off the play-off places.

Athersley Rec face a big game on Saturday as they visit one of the three teams below them – Armthorpe Welfare.

Athersley were beaten 2-1 at Harrogate Railway. The hosts netted twice early in the second half then Sam Thompson scored a consolation goal.

Rec have now taken just two points from their last ten league games.

They are fourth-bottom with nine points from 15 games, five points clear of the relegation zone.

Leaders Wombwell Town drew 2-2 at Nostell MW on Friday. Bradley Kerr put the visitors in front but Nostell netted twice early in the second half then Rikki Paylor levelled.

Penistone Church lost a 2-0 lead in a 4-2 defeat at leaders Campion, a fifth loss from six Premier Division games.

Tom Charlesworth and Anthony Brown netted either side of half-time but the hosts levelled at 2-2 then goalkeeper Harry Ambler was sent off for his reaction to a tackle. Outfielder Ryan Johnson went in goal and could not keep out the last two.

Penistone are now 12th with 18 points from 14 games.
