Barnsley RUFC Ladies won 24-12 at home to Novocastrians in the Championship North.
The try-scorers were Jasmine Brankin, twice, Rosie Whitiker and Becky Patrick.
Victory meant they stayed seventh in the nine-team second tier with 20 points from ten games – 12 clear of the bottom two.
They are now due to visit leaders Sale on Sunday.
