BARNSLEY duo Devante Cole and Jon Russell have been selected in Jamaica’s provisional squad for their CONCACAF Nations League semi-final.

The Reggae boys are due to face USA in Arlington, Texas on Thursday, March 21 then play either in the final or third-place play-off three days later.

They have so far named a 60-man squad which will be significantly reduced when the final list is announced.

Barnsley are due to play League One leaders Portsmouth on March 23 in a potentially crucial game in the promotion race. They could postpone the match if they have three call-ups but the only other player thought to be likely to get one is Fabio Jalo for Portugal under 19s and he is recovering from injury. Cole is Barnsley’s top-scorer with 17 goals.

Portsmouth are not expected to have three call-ups as Australia’s Alex Robertson, Wales’ Joe Morrell and Northern Ireland’s Terry Devlin are all out injured for the season.
