Shaw Lane Aquaforce won three times in five days – including with a defender in goal following an early red card on Saturday – to keep their hopes of a league and cup double alive.
Defender Matt Dempsey played in goal at Loughborough Dynamos on Saturday for most of the game after ‘keeper Tom Morgan was dismissed early on. Matt Thornhill put Aquaforce ahead, the hosts levelled then Adam Priestley won it in the 90th minute.
