THE Royal Mail delivery office in Barnsley has reopened today although services may still be limited.

The building underwent a deep clean last week following several positive tests for coronavirus, which led to delivery services being limited throughout the entirety of last week.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail said: “Barnsley delivery office is now open, however ongoing resourcing issues mean delivery services in the S70, S71, S72 and S75 will be attempted but may be limited again today, Monday June 29 2020.

“The customer service point is open until 9am as advertised, and mail collections from priority boxes, business customers and Post Office branches will be made this afternoon.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.”
