ELIGIBLE residents who pay their council tax by direct debit will have received their £150 rebate by today, it has been confirmed.
Barnsley Council has started making the payments into bank accounts - and those who don’t pay by direct debit but instead submitted an application should expect their funds during the first week of May.
A spokesperson for the council said: “We have created a dedicated line for any urgent queries.
“Call our helpline number - 787787 - and select option six.
“Please only use this if your query is urgent or you require help in completing the application form.”
