MORE than 6,400 people have had Covid twice in Barnsley, new figures have revealed.
A total of 91,912 positive cases for the virus have been recorded in the borough since the start of the pandemic.
More than 6,400 of those are reinfections, with 85,503 being recorded as first episodes.
There have been 530 positive cases in the last seven days, bringing Barnsley’s infection rate to 213.6 per 100,000 residents - more than a 469 per cent increase from the start of June.
