Barnsley won their final friendly 2-1 at home to Sheffield United.

The visitors took the lead through an own goal by Robbie Cundy but Jack Aitchison levelled then Josh Benson curled in a fine free-kick.

New striker James Norwood came off the bench, as did centre-back Michal Helik.

Benson saw a free-kick tipped over before Cundy diverted in Rhian Brewster’s shot.

Sander Berge hit the post in the second half before Aitchison levelled after a mix-up in the United defence.

Berge again hit the woodwork before Benson’s superb winner.
