A BARNSLEY takeaway has won a regional prize at the prestigious English Curry Awards.

Little India made it a hat-trick of titles in the takeaway of the year category for the Yorkshire and Humber region, having bagged the gong in 2016 and 2017.

The Barugh Green takeaway, owned by Amrad Rahman, was praised at Monday’s ceremony in Birmingham.

Amrad said: “It’s a fantastic achievement as this is the biggest region in the country.

“It’s great for my staff and customers who we strive to be the best for.

“It was a great night and the award is recognition for our hard work.”
