Nathan Ashbridge - the manager of Harrisons Antiques Centre in Thurnscoe - told the Chronicle they have had a number of celebrities visit such as Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs and Love Island’s Chris Hughes.
And Sheffield-born Ian Reddington - who appeared in both Eastenders and Coronation Street - visited the venue’s auction room with his wife, Lynda, who had quickly spent a few quid on several items.
The 65-year-old actor commented ‘happy wife, happy life’ on his wife’s spends, according to Nathan.
“My mum, Charlotte, who manages the antiques centre, has been a fan of Ian from his roles in Eastenders and Coronation Street so she recognised him straight away,” Nathan added.
“We had a right laugh with Ian and he was a lovely, down to earth bloke.”
