BARNSLEY Council has been named as the fourth-most improved local authority in Yorkshire and the Humber - seeing 43 per cent less complaints than it did five years ago.
The decrease from 2017 to 2022 has seen the council the fourth-most improved - behind Sheffield, North Lincolnshire and Scarborough.
Barnsley Council has also seen just 13.2 complaints per 10,000 residents - the 13th highest in the region.
More than 54 per cent of those complaints were upheld, whilst adult social care was the most common reason for complaints.

Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
