FREE Halloween-themed events are being provided by Barnsley Council to help families impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.

Pumpkin-carving workshops began on Thursday in Barnsley Market, while craft sessions are planned at Library @ the Lightbox.

Council leader Sir Steve Houghton said: “We are aware that as we head towards the colder months there are immense concerns over the impact of the cost-of-living crisis and energy costs in our communities.

“We are delivering a variety of activities, keeping community at the heart of what we do.”
