JOSH Benson is in contention to play for Barnsley on Saturday with Robbie Cundy not far behind.

Midfielder Benson has been out with a hamstring injury since mid-January.

Head coach Michael Duff said: “He’s in full training and available for selection. He’s a good player who can play all across midfield and cover at right wing-back.”

Defender Cundy has also been out for most of 2023, with a knee injury.

Duff said: “He’s on the grass and we’re hoping he will join in training on Friday or more likely Monday. It’s another positive.”

Goalkeeper Brad Collins has been out for a month with a quad problem. Duff said: “Brad is still a couple of weeks away. He’s had a week off. His girlfriend has had a baby and congratulations to them.

“It might put him back a little bit in terms of conditioning.”
