BARNSLEY’S house prices have risen more in the last year than almost anywhere else in the country.
According to research by Zoopla, a real estate company, house prices in Barnsley have grown by eight per cent in the last year.
It ranks the town as the fourth-highest in the country, behind Wigan, Bolton and Rochdale.

No other Yorkshire town or city has made the top ten.
