BARNSLEY Women’s FC returned from a three-week break from action with a win and a loss this week.

They won 2-0 at Middlesbrough in the National League Division One North on Saturday. Emily Pierrepont scored both goals.

They then lost 3-1 at Leeds United on Wednesday, after Nat Watson netted a leveller.

Barnsley are third with 36 points from 19 games.

They now are set to visit Hull City on Thursday in the first of three remaining games.

Barnsley FC Ladies won 6-0 at York Railway Institute in North East League Southern Division.

Jodie Gregory scored a hat-trick in the last ten minutes after Phoebe Lodge, Georgina Wilson-Roberts and Nicole Shaw netted.

That left them 11 points clear at the top with 52 from 19 games.

They are now due to host second-placed Millmoor Juniors on Sunday, in the first of three remaining games.

Fifth-placed Altofts have four games in hand so could still catch them.

Penistone Church drew 1-1 at Mosborough in Division Two of the Sheffield and Hallamshire League.

Worsbrough Bridge lost 3-1 at Dronfield Town.

Dearne and District lost 5-2 at West End Terriers on Wednesday in Division Three.

Mind over Matter lost 3-1 at home to Charnock Ridgeway.
