Barnsley are waiting for results of scans on Jordan Williams and Mads Andersen but are hopeful neither player will miss the play-offs.

Right wing-back Williams sustained a hamstring injury in the 4-4 draw at MK Dons on Saturday.

He is a doubt for Sunday’s final league game at home to Peterborough United, with the first play-off leg the following Saturday.

Head coach Michael Duff told the Chronicle: “Jordan Williams has a slight hamstring problem. He had a scan last night and I don’t know the result yet.

“The physios said there is nothing major but Jordan has a history of hamstrings and we don’t want to take any risks with it.

“My concern and fear is always heightened because I want everyone to be available and I don’t know if he will be available yet.”

Captain Andersen missed the MK game due to a problem with an abdominal muscle. Duff said they are also waiting for results of a scan on him and are hopeful he could play against Peterborough but: ‘if there is a risk, I won’t take it.”

Luca Connell and Adam Phillips are both back in training after illness and a blow to the calf respectively.
