PENISTONE Church secured first place in Division Two of the Sheffield and Hallamshire League.

They won 7-1 in their final game of the season at Swallownest on Sunday.

Courtney Wragg and Keeley Green bagged braces with Beth Ayrton, Jess Barrow and Danni Fletcher also netting.

Manager Mark O’Neill said: “This has been an amazing achievement. Every wet and cold Tuesday and Thursday night training session was worth it.

“Now focus turns to Division One and progressing even further.”

Worsbrough Bridge lost 9-0 at Mosborough. They finished sixth.
