Barnsley Woolley Miners are still in contention for four trophies after two wins this weekend.

The Shaw Laners won their league match on Saturday and are fifth, 20 points off top after eight of 22 games.

They then beat Harrogate in the first round of the Yorkshire Leagues 40-over Cup, which they reached the final of last year.

They are also in the semi-final of the Twenty20 Blast, which they won last year, and visit Woodlands in the Heavy Woollen Cup quarter-final on Sunday.

In Sunday’s cup game, Jake Weatherald hit 81 off 68 balls with nine fours and two sixes then Oliver Jackson added 65 off 56 in Barnsley’s 258.

Harrogate slipped to 65 for six before being removed for 177.

Ali Jahangir, Beck Frostick and Jackson took three wickets each.

Barnsley had won at Whitley Hall in the league on Saturday.

Whitley were 43 for five before making 197 all out.

Adam Copley took four wickets and Harvey Round three.

Sheryaar Ali (83) and Beck Frostick (75) shared an opening stand of 161 as Barnsley chased their target with eight wickets and 94 balls left.
