Barnsley man and ex-Red John Stones helped Manchester City complete a historic treble and win their first Champions League title on Saturday.

City beat Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul thanks to a goal by Rodri midway through the second half.

They add that win to the FA Cup and Premier League titles this season, matching the treble of Manchester United in 1999.

Stones - who spent a decade in the Oakwell academy then made 28 first team appearances - has played a key part this season, impressing in central midfield.

He drew praise for his performance in Turkey before coming off injured in the last ten minutes.

The 29-year-old from Thurlstone will now meet up with the England squad for their European Championship qualifiers later this week.
