A TOWN centre hair salon has raised hundreds of pounds for Barnsley Hospice through their bi-annual fundraiser.
Adele Jones Hairdressing, on Eldon Street North, hold a raffle twice a year to raise funds for their chosen charity.
This year they decided to choose Barnsley Hospice, after raising money for Weston Park Cancer Charity for a number of years - raising more than £200 in the process.
Bev Heaton, who works at the salon, told the Chronicle: “We’ve fundraised for Barnsley Hospice by hosting a raffle which took place on May 6.
“We’ve always raised money for Weston Park in the past, which is an equally good charity, but a lot of our clients have suggested others.
“We did a suggestion box and that’s why we’ve chosen Barnsley Hospice.
“We do a raffle in the summer and then one in the winter - we raised £243.80 this year.”
