A MIXED bag of results have been picked up by Barnsley teams in the last few weeks.
Across 13 matches in various leagues, there have been six victories and seven defeats.
The mens’ A team beat Stocksbridge 6-3 but were then edged out 5-4 by Buxton in a battle between two promotion rivals in Division Two.
It means they miss out on promotion for this campaign.
The Ladies’ B team are second in their league and still eyeing promotion after a 4-0 win over Beauchief.
The Mens’ C team eased their relegation fears with a 9-0 whitewash against Moorgate C in Division Five.
The Mens’ B team could still finish third in their league after back-to-back wins over Hallam Grange (6-3) and Beauchief D (9-0).
The final round of matches is on July 8 before the summer leagues begin.
